Welcome to Blacklick

Blacklick, Ohio is a small, unincorporated town in Jefferson Township on the far east side of Franklin County. Named for H.G. Black, an early settler, he also gave his name to the nearby creek or “lick”, named Blacklick Creek. The creek runs through the town and the nearby Metro Park as well.

This area was a rural farm community for nearly 100 years, but the completion of I-270 brought developers looking for land to build residential housing, and the rolling hills of Blacklick were exactly what they were seeking.

The downtown area features several restaurants, local shopping, churches, and offices in the small commercial district. It’s the perfect small-town bedroom community for those who crave a small, friendly haven with a rural feel.

Today, there are homes ranging from vintage farmhouses, established neighborhoods with fully grown trees, and new builds are going up as well if you are interested in customizing your home.
